What We Do

Campaigns

With your help we can continue our vital work empowering some of the impoverished communities. Support our campaigns and help us make an even greater impact.

To help and empower the poor and needy through building their confidence and independence.

Masjid

A Masjid is central to any community. A space for prayer, the community coming together and peace. Thanks to your generous monthly contributions we have already spent £500,000 to renovate the mosque, in the learning centre over 900 children have benefitted to date. What an incredible achievement. You have enabled each student to have free shelter, education and set meals. Not only that, every student has been studying Quran, Hadith and other Islamic studies.

For every letter uttered from the Quran and all the knowledge gained by these students, may the reward be in your account too.

Help us to sustain this amazing community hub.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever builds a Mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise.

Waqf

Help in Need Today has a vision to revive the Sunnah of Waqf with communities. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) advised Umar Ibn ul Khattab when he asked him about what to do with a piece of land he had acquired, he (peace be upon him) mentioned (make the land inalienable (unable to be sold or given away) and give its profits away as charity.” The profits of this land were then donated to the traveller, the poor and needy.

Thanks to your monthly contributions, we have our first Waqf project, which helps us contribute to our Masjid, making your donation go further.

Help make your pound go further and donate to sustaining the Masjid.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said “When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three, recurring charity or knowledge (by which people ) benefit, or a pious son who prays for him (for the deceased) – Muslim

Orphanages And Madrasah

You have been amazing and helped us build an orphanage and house up to 1,000 destitute orphans and vulnerable children who would otherwise suffer on the streets with abuse, hunger, violence and forced into child labour.

At Help in Need Today, we are proud to provide a home for the children. We believe in giving children the best possible start in life by equipping them with enrolling them to school, Islamic education, meals, clothes and more, a safe space to be happy and give them the best possible start in life.

“I and the guardian of the orphan will be like this with in Jannah” putting his index and middle finger together” ~Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ~Bukhari

Our Madrasas provide an education to empower them and their future. It also is extended providing key Islamic education to children who would otherwise have no access to such life changing and fruitful knowledge. We are so passionate and excited by supporting these children and see their development. You can obtain your share of reward by donating to help us sustain the home for the children and keep educating them to a high degree. Every letter in the Quran uttered by these amazing children could add to your reward.

Ibn Mas’ud (May Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said “Whoever reads one letter of the Book of Allah, is credited with one blessing and one blessing is equal to tenfold the life thereof in its reward. I do not say Alif Laam Meem is one letter, but Alif is one letter, Lam is one letter and Meem is one letter.” ~Tirmidhi

Building Wells

Water is the basis to life. For some, we cannot imagine opening the tap to dirty water, while being forced to drink and wash with it. For some, this is a reality. But thanks to YOU, Help in Need Today was able to build wells across Bangladesh, bringing clean water to some of the most remote villages and a new lease of life. It costs just £350 to provide a well.

Anas Ibn Malik reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said “Seven deeds that their reward is still written for a person even after he dies inhis grave; a knowledge he taught to others, fixing a river, digging a well, planting a palm tree, building a masjid or having a child that makes dua for him” ~Al Targheeb

Entrepreneur

At Help in Need Today, we look to make your pound go further. We know one of the most effective ways of helping people is to provide them the means to help themselves in the future. We open up small businesses for villagers. Your monthly donation directly impacts the lives of families who are empowered to work themselves out of poverty.

Building Homes

Accessing remote villages can be difficult for most. During monsoon season, this is amplified as houses are often washed away, leaving families without homes and a source of livelihood.

Your monthly donation allows us to build a home for people like Sheila. When Sheila’s house was washed away, she was left with very little for her and her family. Thanks to your monthly contribution, we were able to build the first house made of bricks in the entire village. We aspire to build new homes for those who need it most. Please support us in our vision.

“Thank you for building my home. There can be no one happier in this world than me.”

Rickshaws

At Help in Need Today, we look to empower individuals with the means to sustain an income. Did you know, a rickshaw driver earn around £2.50p a day and they pay around 20% of that for renting the Rickshaw? This eats into their profits for the day and their means to provide for their families. Thanks to your monthly contributions, Help in Need surprised drivers with their very own brand new rickshaws! You’ve helped families become debt free and keep all the money they make for the day. We couldn’t help families like this without you. Thank you for being so amazing.
